i has 8 chips "AS7C256 20PC" removed from a 486DX L2 cache

So, i get the the PDF

and reads, it is 256kbit SRAM chip (32KB x 8 bits), so, with 8 chips i has a 256k RAM.

I'm wondered if remplacing the current DRAM in my MSX2 with s1985 engine, is possible to remove the REFRESH thing, and the WAIT-STATE (becuase this SRAM memory hasn't the RAS/CAS signal), it has all A0-A14 pins....so can be accessed at once).

if possible by mean soft, or a hardware hack, to disable the refresh and the wait-state?

You don't need the refresh, just leave the pins on the msx side unconnected. Removing the waitstate is more complex and will require modification on your computer.

Yes, i already know that using SRAM is not need of the REFRESH.

But, my doubth is: if with the existence of the REFRESH period, the msx is losing TIME?
