I think I know what he means... Like Game Master, Penguin Adventure and Vampire Killer, Maze of Galious has 2 types of cartridge labels. A white label with an orange and red bar and the title printed in black, and a full color with Popolon and Aphrodite with japanese title, which was released in Europe as well in a small box.

f*king hell, think you have all the european konami titles pops this up...
It just looks like my Nemesis 3 box... small and a transparant cartridge case...

A while ago Stt had some game masters in red boxes. I remember I gave one to that crazy programmer of Doramus when I was visiting Mallorca.

I sold the rest at some fairs. I think Delta Soft got some too.

This looks indeed like a rerelease of Maze of Galious in the 'new' packaging!
F1-Spirit also exists in big and small packages. |

Yeah, there are more in Nemesis 3 sized boxes: Penguin Adventure, F1-Spirit, Game Master, Contra, Maze of Galious (as we can see here)... Next please? 
Anyway, it seems those boxes were mainly shipped to Spain IIRC. Can anybody confirm this? |

Contra was never released outside of japan (officially), and in japan konami used those huge plastic boxes...
If you can't come up with some evidence, I'm not going to believe you, sorry ^^;
