Ik ben verheugt om te horen dat er zoveel goede MSX emulators tegenwoordig zijn. Eerder heb ik al gestoeid met FMSX, die een prima prestatie levert. Hier kon ik ook prima gebruik maken van een typische knuppel met 2 knoppen, zo'n model die ik ook bij mijn msx had.
Voordeel is dat deze knuppel een stalen pen heeft en prima dienst doet bij decathlon en alle andere sport klassiekers!

Probleem:
Bij BlueMSX, die ik helemaal aantrekkelijk vond door de vele opties lijkt deze knuppel niet te ondersteunen.

Ik draai op een 1,2 Ghz AMD, met een soundblaster live, Advanced Gravis midi adapter met 2 joystick poorten, waar ik weer 2 ouderwetse analoge joysticks op aan kan sluiten. Werkt goed voor zowel de weinige pc games die gebruik maken van de joyctsick en de fmsx.
Als ik kijk bij controls zie ik niets naar boven komen met betrekking tot een joystick, erg jammer want beamrider is gewoon een lekker simpel ramspel voor zo'n knuppel.

Wat doe ik fout, of wat mist bluemsx..

Gelukkig dat ik kan ook Nederlands begrijpen ... maar ik zal antwoorden in Engels

blueMSX uses DirectX to automatically detect the joysticks, mouse, joypad, ... that are connected. The list of the detected devices appears in the Options/Control menu.

So, it seems me strange that your standard joystick is not detected.

I advise you to take contact by e-mail with the programmer, Daniel Vik.

I was a bit confused by the dutch layout! :-)

I said i' am very happy with the bluemsx 1.7 emulator, it works like a charm!


But.... there is always that thing..

May normal analog joystick that is connected to my pc and works under fmsx does not work under bluemsx. I also do not see a joystick under Options/Control menu.

I must note that i use an advanced Gravis Midi adapter that spilts the joystick to 2 ports. Always worked fine with evrything. I also did a little extra test, i disconnected the gravis ultra midi adapter and restarted my system and started bluemsx again, nogo!

I have a soundblaster live in my system and i run bluemsx under windows XP.

How do i contact the programmer?

ofcource you can convert 2 usb joypads to make an interface just buy some cheap usb controllers they are around €7,50 each or maybe cheaper!!

I' am so ashamed! :-) Since BlueMSX takes a look at crappy windows to determine what is connected, i just forgot to ad a standard 2-axes, 2 button joystick to windows.

Problem solved, no further action needed... Replace user :-)
