Hello,

I'm looking for information about konami DAC in SCC cartridge,
how cain I clone it?

Best regards!

AFAIK it's just a resistor bank like Covox:

Pin1 and Pin14 are GND
Pin2 is sound output
and Pin3-Pin13 are data input

Hello,
I know it, I neede resistors value and a expecial component("fat",capacitor)in the left of array.

Thanks

Hello

I checked DAC and I've registered these values (checked from Ref: pin 14):
Array R/2R step 0.5, but pin 2 doesn't mach, it must be 7.3 (parallel resistor?)

1 ->GND
2->"Output" 5.9 ? (from 14) it must be 7.3 (parallel resistor?)
3->6.8 (from 14)
4->6.3 (from 14)
5->5.9 (from 14)
6->5.4 (from 14)
7->4.9 (from 14)
8->4.4 (from 14)
9->3.9 (from 14)
10->3.4 (from 14)
11->2.9 (from 14)
12->2.4 (from 14)
13->1.9 (from 14)
14->Ref

any idea?

Isn't this what the SIMPL was based on too?

Strange. I'd say pin 4 having 6.4 and pin 3 having 6.9, but since resistors have a certain margin for error you might expect such a slight variation.

Usuario: I already stated pin 14 and pin 1 being GND. If there's a resistor with a smaller value between pin 1 (GND) and 2 (output) you will measure a lower value indeed due to a parallel resistor (as long as 1 and 14 are connected, either internally or externally). It kind of depends whether or not you removed the resistor bank befor you measured it. You'll get more accurate values when you remove it from the PCB.

Sonic: Yep, SIMPL (for pc-users also better known as COVOX) has the same configuration.
