Well it makes not only the way free for development of GFX-9000 games, but if I should get two orders for GFX9000, I am capable of buying new opl4 chips for the moonsound and thus the start for also a new serie moonsounds.
So a vote for the GFX is a vote for new moonsounds as well.
Meits kicks even hader now ...

From reliable sources I have it that Team Bomba is already working on a gfx9k game

Oh yeah, before I forget (meanwhile I'll raise my post count a bit too!)... we will of course give more details when the time is ready. Which isn't now just yet! Just watch MRC for news about it

btw.. just a question in general to developers ..: do you have the idea that important g9k-related design-tools are missing?

You see, as Snout menioned, any app like PSP or Photoshop can be used... the question I have is if that's truly 'how it works' in practice?

So var v9bmp and bmp2g9b are sufficient for me. A graphics program on the gfx9000 itself doesn't seem very usefull to me.

I think it's better to make the gfx in psp or photoshop because those programs have a lot of usefull functions in it.

If you want to develop those functions on the msx it will take a lot of time.

bmp is a very easy format to convert to any other format because it's almost the same as graphsaurus.

only the header is different.

well there some more differences between them, but he no need to make a converter. It's already made

I was more hinting towards tailormade g9k software on PC .. something that specifically works for the g9k. And sure you can draw in PSP/PS .. but those are generic applications .. is tile-editing any good in PSP/PS ?

Well, I am making the graphics for the g9k game of Team Bomba in Photoshop and it is very easy to draw "pixel perfect" in that. The only thing that Photoshop lacks is good color management. For example, I could use 64 different colors in my palette for the game graphics, but Photoshop can use millions of colors in a single picture. So I had to count the colors so that I didn't exceed the 64 color-limit. I have solved this problem with the use of many layers and some Photoshop tricks. So.... Wolf.... If you want to talk about tools, mail me or something!

It was just an open question, at first without possible intentions .. I was just asking if there's need for g9k software anyway.

Polka is different, that was made for pattern-modes.. you would expect something tailormade for that.

Yum: You can use the mode "indexed color" in Photoshop to use less colors. Then you can also use transparent mode for gif`s and such.
