Can somebody tell what the trick was to solve the following 'human error'
set password(chr$(13))
I once made that mistake when I was 12. The computershop owner 'fixed' it without erasing the clockchip, so there is a keycombination to skip the password entry, but I can't remember it anymore. Any hints?

graph+ stop key....
When I was a kid I forgot it too, then a dad of a friend found the solution in a dutch MSX magazine...so on start up,press those 2 and it should skip
Then in basic...mm probably you should do the following:
set prompt (then your "ok" changes into a new word of max 6 characters)
or set title which gives you a max 6 chr. word below the MSX logo

Naturally in my younger years I explained someone else how that SET PASSWORD worked .. not realising the person would try it on the school's 8235 (and ofcourse with some weird ascii chars so that the machine was really locked!) |
