The machine is an original PC-AT I think! The Windows is version 1.0 - until recently i had a copy of version 1.03 on floppy disk!

According to my thinking i believe he would be 26 at that time, no wonder he is looking pleased with himself, already a multi-millionaire!

btw I have a working TRS-80 Model 100 - the last machine that Bill Gates actually wrote the OS for!! I got it as a portable word processor!

Apple did not steal anything; some of the Xerox developers went to work for Apple because their own company didn't think the GUI would be a succes. And many of Apple's innovations in Xerox's original very basic concept of a GUI WERE stolen directly from Macintosh; Bill Gates used the release of MS Excel for Macintosh as a means to pressure Apple into not sueing for stealing their GUI ideas.

And that's were e.g. Windows' recycle bin came from...

Hmmm yeah,I remember that a dad of a friend of mine (who worked for xerox since the 70's) told me they worked with it,but never copyrighted the GUI and was for their internal use only.They didn't feel the urge to patent it or something...
I was surprised about the price of that new mac,finally a mac that is cheap
