But, a more serious note, I think that just pure msx talk would indeed be interesting for the incrowd only. I am head of the dutch dept. of micromusic, a huge online community dedicated to low-tech music (d.i.y attitude towards composing). People there are composing on many different platforms, with computer game music being the big source of inspiration. So a lot of people come from the GB scene,atari,c64,NES etc. The good thing is that everyone can join,many lovers of music too,not necessarily composers or people who know anything technical about vintage computers,but who just feel they can contribute to it by postive ideas and feedback.
people are drawn to it because of the friendly attitude and people to chat with ( that function is an important part, a lot of people exchange ideas,work on trackers together,host gigs, start small labels to put out music on it etc) and this is what keeps micromusic going. I've travelled the world now adding my vj skills (5 years of amiga low-res) to people's music,adding another component to the community... It never was intended to become an "offline" community (it's an mp3 site with shitloads of chip & trackertunes etc) but because of the nature of its users it became equally important offline...the users make the community what it is, so versatile, funny and ticking... so the bar shouldn't always be high, being part of a family of likeminded people( fools?) is what it's all about... check my profile,I can't program or compose OR draw yet I have the msx close to my heart cuz its what I grew up with...that's what interested me into becoming a member here on MRC,and asking for a bit of help on this msx radioshow I did... that is my way to contribute to the msx scene, by showing people who are not familiar with the msx (and trust me, a lot of people aren'y) that there's something great to be discovered...

Hmmmm...and on some level I thought things might finally clear up in the gaza strip....it looked promising after the death of Arafat...a delicate issue. We had to learn about the mcmahon/balfour thing in school and how it made the whole topic of the free israelian state even more complex. I am not religious at all, and I think no one can claim land by saying god has given it to people (no proof,and we live in 2005 now,not in 2000 b.c) yet I always hope that people can use reason instead of some orthodox principles like : this is our land. If that is the case,then the shiites can reclaim israel,Spain can reclaim Holland and god forbid,Friesland can have Holland,Denmark,South Sweden and Germany

Although I think dutch people should keep a close eye on those friesland inhabitants...No one understands their language,they claim to be direct descendants of odin and thor,and I am afraid they have pagan viking fests where they do freaky dances near dark... don't trust them a bit !

perhaps an idea to write a little player that can be put on the entro page with some attractive music (a stream perhaps,check http://www.ayland) for instance,that streams AY tracks...could put some jolly good game and demo tunes in some databass that play on the mainpage (With a function to shut it off too)...idea?

IN general site looks prettydope, icons are cool and site looks friendly...

basically,it doesn't realy matter in the first place what the site is like...that is numero 2 when people FIND it... FINDING it and coming to MRC is the first thing to be concerned about...it's pretty much like having musicnights in a club... the club's there, they play some nice stuff,friendly frequent visitors etc...but how do OTHERS know about it? Only one thing, by presenting yourself to people outside of the community here...it's pretty much like advertising I suppose...networking,building up relations with other sites,communities both in real life and online.
