Surprise: I've no comments!
well.. one minor: try to develop the thing over time .. you repeat parts, try adding some more after a while.. for example add violins to the flute-lead, add a ride-cymbal etc. etc. those kinda things.. but for the rest: nice retro sound! ( /me not sure about the timpani in that retro-soup tho ^_^ )

Well I made the first build-up and the first flute part 2 months ago, and I haven't had one bit of inspiration since for any improvisations on this song  otherwise I would have added stuff like you suggested.
/me gets off the 'fear-for-the-wolf' chair now

And yes, it is a popular song, although it's not one of my personal favorites...anyway, the significant part was 'it didn't give me inspiration to add stuff'. I have to hear the ideas in my head my friend, to build upon. The timpani is a good example. After I played the first few beats after the main flute I just had that 'tuh-duh-duh-DUM!' in my head, which is why the Timpani got added |

This song is the Roland XP50 solely...haven't used any of my other synths on it. The next song will feature more synths, since it has some nifty analog basslines |
