"The latest development around Sargon is, that the team had a booth again at the fairs in Tilburg and Bussum, 2003. Actually the only ones present were Robert and I. Older Sargon productions could be ordered for a low price and three new Sargon translations were released: Hydlide 2 English, Randar 1 English and Firehawk English."

so you stopped with selling your sargon products????
Translation of Aleste attracts many visitors 01-09-2003
On August 28th, I added an English translation of Aleste to the downloads section of the Sargon site. An announcement was made at the MSX Resource Center and in the following days, there were many unique visitors counted. As can be concluded, the English translation was downloaded very frequently.
It's a pity though, that most visitors who pay the site a visit to download the translation, don't react on the newsposts, sign the guestbook, make a vote on the frontpage poll or discuss about anything in the forum. So, if you want to stimulate us to make put more game translations to download in the future, don't hesitate to give any feedback to the site whatsoever.

Mars2000you, I don't know whom you're getting your information from, but I think it's someone who likes to spice things up. BiFi was never forced to remove any IPS patch, at least not by Bazix (or it's employees for that matter). BiFi was -kindly asked- by Rikusu to remove the patch. You can check this with BiFi, I'm sure he has the email around somewhere.

Bart, the word 'forced' is maybe somewhat a little bit out of my real thinking, but, apparently, no-one can 'force' MRC to remove the TNI products from his database when TNI asks for this removing.
Another example of inconsequence and injustice.

Actually, TNI didn't 'ask' us to remove the software, but TNI threathened to sue our asses if we wouldn't remove the software, mostly contributions to the MRC Challenges -of which one can reasonably assume they are to be published in the MRC downloads database, to remain available for the MSX community- only hours after receiving the second prize to the bounce challenge IRL, during the MSX fair in Oss. Funny, really.

Just checked these TNI products on MRC : the shareware products are removed (that's a good point), but not the freeware products ....

Following freeware products are not contributions to MRC challenges :
- TURBO-R (The Usual Rotten Bullshit Of Reality)
- Maestro EBM's Ragbag
So, they should be removed from the MRC database

Snout, can't we just remove mars from our database? |

From my own experience, strongly asked ;p. In any case, this is what I mean by sometimes acting on supposed personal behalf, and sometimes on Bazix, whatever is convenient... Rikusu is obviously doing this for his work on Bazix. Please, Bart, like was the case with the recent TNI press release about amongst others the GLC project, do not deny that it has not got anything to do with Bazix.
Regarding TNI taking a bit of a harsh approach with respect to the TNI products in the MRC downloads database - really, do you think it’s strange?? Banning someone permanently doesn’t exactly earn you friends.

You'll piss of the complete chocolate blueMSX emulator scene if you do that... why not replace it with a snicker or bounty? |

I don’t think that is a funny joke. At all.
It seems like too much of a real possibility here at the MRC. mars2000you raises very good points. What he gets in return is a covered-up semi-joking (sure) threat that he should mind his words. Let me tell you, if I were mars2000you I would be furious to hear such a thing, from an MRC admin.

Mars and I go way back. I think he can handle such a joke from me. He know my intentions and help towards him always were good and without further hidden intentions. Can you remember Mars? Because I think you've forgotten al that.

I agree he raises valid points, but I did think it was a joke and nothing more. Some people need their toenails clipped since everyone seems to be standing on them.

Given the fact that you actually *do* remove people from your database (who is now basically silenced and can not even speak up for himself) I do not think the MRC Admins can afford to joke with such a thing, no matter to whom.

Grauw - euhm... you consider TNI threathening to sue the MRC 3 times in 12 months, just because everything doesn't always go 100% TNI's way 'a bit of a harsh approach'? I consider it to be way out of line. MRC is a community site, for God's sake. MSX users should be working together, not against each other. And in case of conflict, the first thing to refute to should be a discussion in which both parties are willing to look for a solution, not threathening with legal actions. That really doesn't help, you know.
Here in this thread everybody is completely worried about what legal actions Bazix could possibly take. So far the only one who has actually been threathening with legal actions within the MSX community was TNI, towards MRC, for the most futile reasons. (At least nothing to start a lawsuit for...). 3 times in a row, no less.
Banning someone permanently doesn't earn you friends indeed, but after 10 years of MRC everybody knows you should pull a whole lot of crap before even getting close to a ban, let alone a permban. Like threathening to sue the MRC 2 times in the time before the permban was put in place, for instance....
(sigh)
/me is going to get his toenails clipped....
