Hi,
Because I am a big fan of this game, I have download the english version to play with blue msx emulator.
It works great !
But, I can't remember how to save and/or make the user disk ...
Is anybody here can help me ?

user disk: just format a 720kB, double sided disk. Saving/loading, press [F2] during the game (iirc). Or just try the other function keys  . You know, starting the game (if ye wanna skip the intro, boot with disk 2, 3 or 4) enables you to load a state as well.
It's a great game, one of my all-time favourites! Hope you'll beat it

Don't get shocked when you see first parts of texts repeat themselves
Have been doing some fixing on that game (just like SD-Snatcher) as well. |

Sure that XAK III is a great game, one of my favorite with SD Snatcher and YS III !
Ans the music is .... SO COOL !.
Any ways, it is fun to talk with other msx users, thanks a lot !

Hi,
Just to say that I still don't understand how to make a save disk not to save during the game .... Nowhere the game told me to set a userdisc and I can't find in the menu how to do that .... sob ... also, you know, when you put the teleporter in ITEM-A, how can you use it ? I have tried all the keys on my keyboard and still no clue to use it .... please help !!!!!!!!!

You can only save @ the main bridge, outsite... You need to talk to Fell (or Feru, depending on the translation) Bow for that. She gave you the teleporter. IIRC the RETURN or SPACE key activates the item.

Hi,
Just to let uou know that with your help, all is working now :
- saving is done by teleport and then talk with Feru
- Using the items in the ITEM-A box by the space key

FYI : in a previous post, it has been mentioned that there are some IPS patches on the site MSX IPS Patch Archive, but there is no one available for XAK III

No, the game you call Xak 3 is actually called Xak - The Tower of Gazzel and that's the way it's named in the archive as well.

Well, to add to the nitpicking, Xak 3 is actually called Xak 2, as Fray could be called Xak 2. So that would make Gazzel Xak 4 and the PC Engine Xak 3 would be Xak 5 |
