I've a small amount of MSX Tapes at home and I'd like to know if some tapes in my collection are not yet available in .cas format.
Pac-Mania (Grandslam)
3D Pool (Firebird)
Winter Games (Tynesoft)
World Games (US Gold)
Psycho Pigs UXB (US Gold)
Zakil Wood (Mr. Micro)
Crazy Golf (Mr. Micro)
La Battaglia Delle Ardenne (Philips VG8192, a wargame based on the battle of the Ardenne)
After The War (Dynamic)
Addictaball (Alligata)
King & Balloon (Bug Byte)
Invasion (Bulldog)
Storm Bringer (Mastertronic)
Thunderbirds (Grandslam)
Lazy Jones
I know that almost all these games are already available on MSX1MANIA, but I think that if a game was meant to be distributed on tape, it should be made available in the closest format possible on emulators.
Do you know if some of these games are not yet available on internet ?

That list is interesting only to know what to save or not.

Yes, I can understand that these games are still under copyright. But consider also that, as the time passes, all the tapes are going to become unreadable in a not-so-distant future, so if we want to preserve at least some of these games maybe we could break some copyright laws for a good reason.

I understand the idea behind preservation and educational value, but we at the MRC have chosen to obey copyrights at any time. I hope you can respect that choice. Of course, if you own the tapes, you are free to create .CAS images for your own use, just as long as you don't spread them. Besides, there are legal preservation activites going on in both Japan and Europe as we speak.
