I've seen there's still animo for a 8th issue of DISK. I'm open for a certain action and am willing to do whatever I can, but I can't do it on my own.

In order to get the stalled project from its sleep again, I need some cooperation from the scene.

What is needed and what's being done:

There are, as always, several 'news' corners on every DISK. Here's an overview:

Editorial (status: empty)
Disk magazines (status: empty)
Magazines (status: empty)
(game)(tips) (status: empty)
Software (status: empty)
Hardware (status: empty)
Miscillanous 1 (status: filled with coding courses)
Miscillanous 2 (status: empty)
Trips (satus: two trips reviewed)
Epilogue (status: empty)
Software menu (status: empty)

Then there's the graphical, musical dressing:

50Hz Moonblaster 1.4 music: none
Magazine headergraphics: none

Also there's the intro:
Graphics: none
Music (whichever chip you like): none
Coding: none

Additional software for the software menu:
There's some example sources coming along with the coding courses

What can you do:

- Review diskmagazines (old or new, age of the reviewed software if of no importance)
- Review printed magazines (old or new, age of the reviewed magazine is of no importance)
- Hand in whatever cheat, tip or walkthrough you find plausible.
- Review some software. There's enough software to be (re)reviewed. Point is, we don't have any.
- Write about the various new hardware which got released over the last couple of years. Point is, we don't have too many of it.
- Tell about anything, write a hillarious story, shock the scene (I know you all are able to do this) for Miscillanous 2
- Review a meeting you visited. There are already two reviews I wrote myself. Add stuff if you like.
- Got some nice little demo or stunning little thingy, hand it in and write a little about it.

Graphics are needed. If you think your graphicskills are suitable, just shout. We don't handle a high treshold. Keep in mind that the theme of this DISK is "Komkommertijd".

Now, in order to fix this little friend and show it to the world, we need all help we can get.

So, if you can help us out, shout.
If you can't, keep quite.

There's a thread around here somewhere else in which you can say stuff like "Yeah, I'm looking forward" or "please, cut the crap and stop". In this thread, preverably only contributing replies.

For questions which you wanna keep private, mail me at meits(at)neardark(dot)nl, since there's no private message option around this board.

Shouldn't that read "PastDisk" by now?

Jorito: Well, DISK is so 90's too... and it's a bit more than a simple 'logo and scroll' demo... which basically is even before 90's

[D-Tail]: sigh... for you it is a '60Hz confirmer' then... unless you're using a Japanese MSX of course

snout: already negative reactions before you have even seen it?

heheh. I can already say you'll love it... since it's kind of something I want to prove to someone...

Meits already seen some of it and told me it's quite cool... so get ready for...
nah, let's keep things a surprise...
