hello all!
I want to make some music with my MSX. Yesterday a was cheking a lot of programs for making music but none of them fits me (synthsaurus, Mnote, ...) I also know the Moonblaster of course, and Musica is terribly difficult for me... So, what editor do you use? Just in case I don't know it and it is good!!
PD: I "played" a bit with the PSG sampler and was fun!! HAHAHA..

* moonblaster for fm-pac/music module (msx audio)
* before moonblaster I used FST pro and Protracker for the same chips
* mbwave/mbfm for moonsound
Not that much choice basically, it's choosing 'the' apps and apps with less features or with a less fine interface (competing coders tend to try to do things in a different way all the time, resulting in a shitload of different apps, not realising that eventually all ppl continue to stick to the obvious ). |

MMM.. so Moonblaster seems to be the "king" afterall... By the way, I have all sound chips available for MSX but the one I would like to make music with is SCC!!!!
Any editor?

SCC-Musixx (Tyfoonsoft)
SCC Blaffer NT (Teddywarez)
I'm sure you can find them somewhere .. I haven't really worked with Blaffer, but iirc it was more enhanced than SCC-Musixx, so I suggest starting with that one..

You can have more control with SCC-Musixx, though inputting notes is quite annoying with it... That part has improved quite with SCC Blaffer v1.0, while keeping quite the same control and smaller music files. SCC Blaffer NT is more like a Moonblaster for SCC. |

According to Alex Wulms' page about SME 3 he intends to release it as postcardware. However, that statement is from 2000 and there is no download yet. But maybe if you mail him to refresh his memory that will help?

By the way: I mainly use Mbwave/mbfm (moonsound) and moonblaster 1.4 for msx-audio/msx-music/stereo.
Before moonblaster 1.4 I used fac soundtracker
