so... how can I grounded better??? any hardware modifications ideas?

Just make sure, that pin 1 (audio ground) is connected to metal around those pins as well. You get good sound, if you don't transfer video on same cable.

I only briefly browsed through the Game Sound Legend CD-boxset (which was already sold out) during my stay in Japan. I can ask Mr. Pen if he can send me some information on how he did it, but a reply to that one could take quite a while.

As for the Music Module: I combine the ground signal from the music module with the audio signal of the DIN plug of the turboR in order to get better sound quality. (Usually you'd get the ground signal from the DIN plug as well).

SNOUT: It will be incredible if you contact with Mr. Pen to see how he managed to obtain that pure sound. I really enjoy listening to musics with my MSX, but now I'm fed up of that "rrrrrrrrrrrr" noise/interference...

About the Music Module: What do you mean about the ground signal of it? what is it? Can you be more explicit please? I know nothing about electronics... It is a wire to the earth or something? I will be very pleased if you describe it as if I were a 10 years old, because as I have already said, I know nothing about electronic components or whatever...

Thank you very much!

Thanks! But... what Pin? from the circular DIN or from the SCART? Anyway if that's so, the video signal is taken from it as well. But, just to know: what does "to be connected to metal around those pins as well" mean?? Any more accurated description? :'(

About pin numbering... MSX FAQ is your friend
http://faq.msxnet.org/connector.html#rgbscart

I understand, that you have DIN - SCART cable. I'm also pretty sure, that it is build so, that this pin 1 is already connected to "metal around those pins as well" By this I mean that in this DIN connector there is 8 pins, but also a metal circle around these 8 pins... hmm... sounds quite a same explanation... I really don't know how to explain this better... It is also good idea to connect ground signal* to metal around SCART connector. (I think, that has been done as well)

To make the "rrrrrrrrr" go away, you can try command COLOR 14,0,0 That works, if you listen to music, but in games it does not help. Hardware solution is to make own DIN - SCART cable, that has separate sound cable, that does not go near video wires. (Read: separate audio wires right after DIN connector) MSX tR has it self very clear and noise free audio, the problem is in the cable.

* earth wire / ground signal is wire, where there is no voltage/signal at all. It is (or typically it should be) connected to earth.

MMMMM... thank you very much, NYYRIKKI. I'm going to make a DIN-SCART cable with the audio separate from the video signal. That means, I have to "separate" (not to touch that metal circle) pin 1 (audio ground) and pin 2 (audio right)??

SNOUT, has you managed to contact with Mr. Pen?

Ok, I'll try to draw a picture.

This way you can get best sound:
  U RCA to connect SCART connector to monitor
  | to amplifier L_| (No Sound)
  |                  |
Cable 1           Cable 2
  |                  |
  |                  |
  |                  |
  L_____ DIN8________|
          |
         MSX

Cable 1:
Pin 1 & connector metal --> RCA outer metal
Pin 2 --> RCA inner metal

Cable 2:
Pin 1 & connector metal --> SCART pins 4,5,9,13,14,18 and connector metal
Pin 2 Not connected
Pin 3 --> SCART pin 8
Pin 4 --> SCART pin 20
Pin 5 --> SCART pin 16
Pin 6 --> SCART pin 15
Pin 7 --> SCART pin 11
Pin 8 --> SCART pin 7

...to get music from both speakers, add another RCA connector and connect it same way. If you have SVIDEO connector in your display device, you can connect only cable 1 and connect video using SVIDEO connector.

In amplifier, connect the RCA(s) to VIDEO, TAPE, DVD or similar input. Don't connect to plugs, where reads OUTPUT or AUX input.

If you want to get good sound from monitor, do it this way:
         SCART
  ________L_|________
  |                  |
Cable 1           Cable 2
  |                  |
  |                  |
  |                  |
  L_____ DIN8________|
          |
         MSX

Cable 1:
Pin 1 & connector metal --> SCART pins 4,5,9,13,14,18 and connector metal
Pin 2 --> SCART pins 2 & 6

Cable 2:
Pin 1 & connector metal --> SCART pins 4,5,9,13,14,18 and connector metal
Pin 2 Not connected
Pin 3 --> SCART pin 8
Pin 4 --> SCART pin 20
Pin 5 --> SCART pin 16
Pin 6 --> SCART pin 15
Pin 7 --> SCART pin 11
Pin 8 --> SCART pin 7

... I think, that you get best result, if you use a cable where there is cable inside another cable (a bit like TV cable) connect the outer cable to DIN Pin 1, connector metal & SCART pins 4,5,9,13,14,18 and connector metal. Connect inner cable to pin2. For video you need also this kind of cable, where there is metal going around all other cables inside. Connect also this cable so, that the metal going around is connected to DIN Pin 1, connector metal & SCART pins 4,5,9,13,14,18 and connector metal.

Now all outer cables are gound signal cables. Well connected ground signal has important role here to get best sound quality as it also protects the cables inside from outside interference. That "rrrr" sound is interference from video signal. Now as sound signal is protected by ground from video, this effect dissappears.

You may also try to find better quality cable, that has better protection against inner interference. If you can find that kind of cable, you don't need two different cables, but that kind of cable can be quite expencive.

In this explanation by "connector metal" I mean the metal circle around DIN connector or metal box around SCART connector pins.

thanks NYYRIKKI!
I'm going to try to make an RGB!! I'll tell you how all this story ends...
thank you!
