Hi, folks,

I was wondering how should sound the Microcabin musics if they were produced in stereo (i mean 'real' stereo).

Roberto Vargas made for me a modified version of his great Microcabin music compiler/decompiler so I could get separate channels from the original musics.

Here is the result of the first try. Still many equalization/processing issues... I hope to do it better next song!

ps. It sounds better when using headphones (binaural systems show an enhanced stereo).
And BTW, the music compiler made by Roberto is really stunning! It allows you to compose nice Microcabin-style musics

Hi. Cool, but the Hihat gets really annoying panning from side to side.
You could try listening to the MIDI versions, they are in stereo, you know

I don't like the MIDI versions.

I think MT32 / GM instruments aren't suitable for this kind of music...

And, yeah, I inserted a panning effect to the PSG noise channel in order to achieve a non-static sound (I did that intentionally because I wanted to get a very contrasted version when comparing with the original mono version).

Anyway, I will take in consideration your suggestion and set the HH panning to the left next time ;-)

Something like this can be done for quite some time already... with the MSXplug plugin for Winamp. It has an option to pan the seperate OPLL channels.

I prefer to acquire the original sound from my real MSX...

Anyway, does Winamp exist for the MacOSX?

Oh, thank you very much!

Anyway I think I will continue recording the tracks separately. I'm not only panning the tracks, I'm applying an indiviudal process as well (compression on bass-drum, reverb on leads, phaser on strings, etc.)

Maybe a nice remake!
What would you think about it?
