how would I do this? would I buy one of those IDE adaptor carts and just plug in any old hard drive? any size requirements, etc?
I have a MSX2+ w/ MSX-DOS 2.0.

Idd, using a Sunrise IDE cartridge you can connect pretty much any old IDE drive to your MSX. As suggested though, a CF adapter might be even better. The whole combo is a lot smaller, quieter and there's no messing around with power-supplies ect. A 64MB CF card will probably cost you around $15, which really isn't too much. You can prolly fit most of your MSX stuff on a 64MB CF, and if you've downloaded something on your PC you can easily put it on the CF card. |

You can use adapters to connect other memory devices to the CF interface, like SD card, MMC card and the Sony Memory Stick.Sofar the quote from our website , I donot know how poisonic inserted the photo
So thus,
Poisonic can you insert the rest of the advertisement of our interface please so that he can see that you can also use sd-cards

revering to the snatcher problem thread, i think a memory upgrade would suit you before trying this.
You got 64kB on a MSX2+... DOS2 eats some ram, which leaves you half of it to run software on... There's not that much software to run in 32kB, really...
I got a 128kB machine and I leave it IDE-stuff-less as well, cuz 128kB is quite the limit for most software. If I plug in my DOS2 cartridge, I can't run most of the software cuz of lack of memory...

there r 2 options:
1. you modify the msx with an extra 64 kilobytes of ram
2. you have to find a so called memory mapper.....
