| how would I do this? would I buy one of those IDE adaptor carts and just plug in any old hard drive? any size requirements, etc?
I have a MSX2+ w/ MSX-DOS 2.0.

Idd, using a Sunrise IDE cartridge you can connect pretty much any old IDE drive to your MSX. As suggested though, a CF adapter might be even better. The whole combo is a lot smaller, quieter and there's no messing around with power-supplies ect. A 64MB CF card will probably cost you around $15, which really isn't too much. You can prolly fit most of your MSX stuff on a 64MB CF, and if you've downloaded something on your PC you can easily put it on the CF card.

Their are "sold-out". No IDE+Compact Flash cartridges.
Sunrise should have the Compact Flash Only cartridges for sell ...

Sunrise used to sell IDE cartridges and a separate CF-adapter for it, but nowadays (AFAIK) they only sell CF-cartridges (which have no IDE connector, only 2 CF connectors). I think that's what Yukio means.
