Welcome to yet another megapoll. This time, our quest is to find out which MSX game has the coolest artwork ever. Right here, you can send in your nominations until October 14th, 23:59 CET. To keep things nice and clean, there are a few simple rules.

- First check whether the cover you wanted to nominate has already been nominated
- Find a scan or picture of the cover and mail it to artwork@msx.org where we will process it for the voting rounds
- Post the title you'd like to nominate in this forum thread, and the reason why you nominated it. You can use IMG tags to post pictures in our forum, provided the picture is hosted somewhere on the net already.
- You can post as many game covers as you like, but please try to not spam us too much. Pick the covers you really feel should be in the competition

It has all the elements to catch attention (Red colour) and curiosity (what is this game about? A wargame, a shooter?...). It's cool because it's different from many other Konami games, and with what in fact is not a very pushed design - it strikes attention. The pictures are gently belnded through the blood red so that they don't stand out too much but still make you want open the box. Personnally I always wanted the original copy of Contra because of its box and cover because it strikes attention (plus of course, the title being written in Japanese makes it special as well, to us European users). Damn, what's inside that box?
In other words, put e.g. all Konami boxes next to each other. Ask 1000 people who don't know anything about MSX or Konami or games to pick up a box they like. I bet Contra will score high, if not highest.

I must say, that EYE has kind of cool cover although the really beautiful picture of sleep world is inside of the box. You can see the game board inside of the box trough the cover, that gives nice 3D effect.

I would have to say SNATCHER is one of my favorites... I really like the manual as well, but I guess a manual is not a game cover! Anyhoo, clean, simple, neat....

This one always speeds up my heartbeat.. Maybe it's because it was my first original game ever (from Dixons)... I always liked it's cover the most:

I like the cover of Hydlide 3 a lot. It shows so much of the game's locations. It doesn't lie to you, all those places you can visit. I also like the peaceful colors. It makes you think there's a large, fairytale style adventure inside. And there is.

Crap. Now I'm all in the mood for some Hydlide, but I'm still at work..

any one played that game? I never got to it.
