Is there anybody wants to sale a fm pac to me with (pseudo stereo) audio out connectors for hooking the cartridge up to a stereo ? I think Checkmark has made this but i'm not sure...

you're talking about the FM-PAK, what is does is seperate PSG and FM sound. Hard panned.
Why'd ya 'ave sumpfn like that. Sucky stereo image (imagen psg left, fm right.. bleh)
but hell, who am I to discuss your taste

afaik, checkmark, and then msx club gouda made it based on that design.
Ah well, you don't HAVE to use the stereo option....

Are you sure about that?
AFAIK, it separates drum and music channels... (and the drum channels are mixed with PSG ...) |

I had drums and music seperated on an MK public domain FM-PAC.
I thought it was ugly, so I made it mono...

Indeed.. It was just like listening to 2 different devices playing the same tune.
There was one thing that worked quite nicely. Some songs didn't use drums, which gave the following result (if I remember correctly)
Right: 6 * FM
Left: 3 * FM and 3 * PSG
This actually sounded quite OK, if memory servers me right.
What I liked most though was using the ProTracker stereo-replayer. One song, played over both MSX-Audio & MSX-Music. And hook these up to your stereo  That sounded quite nice |

I have FM-PAK with stereo out. I bought is for 60 euro in 2001 (overpriced, I know). But same seller sold me complete Metal Gear for 40 euro, so it kind of balances out.
I can part with FM-PAK for 40 euro + shipping. Will consider trade for any other hardware or even games for MSX. Let me know if you want to see pictures.

Why you should spread that here, it was a private mail that i sent to you...  but i will explane my reason once again then: 2 weeks ago someone (bas ) has won an auction for a checkmark fm pak for around this price, dhau has payed way too much (60 euro!) and asked me 40 euros if i remember me correct for the same and i mailed back to him that i gonna watch ebay instead, thats all. |
