Well, it will be fair enough to start the Who=who myself.

I'm born in 1979, and have always lived in the Northern part of the Netherlands (Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe). In 1986 I got my first MSX, a Philips NMS8245. In 1990 I moved to the place where I still live know. There I met Michiel de Vries and we started attending MSX meetings at the MSX-GG in Groningen (which - unfortunately - does not exist anymore). At this MSX-GG there were many people of the new group Flying Bytes around and before I knew it I was composing soundtracker (and later moonblaster) music for this group.

Products I contributed to: MEG (poing!), Bananenvla, Move the House (sorry for that one, I'm ok now) and Not Again!

Flying Bytes was well known because we were selling European MSX products in Japan through Takeru machines. After the succes of Not Again! we started working on a huge project, but many members moved away or dropped MSX so it was never to be finished. Arno Dekker drew some very impressive SCREEN 10 GFX for this game, and I made about 10 moonblaster songs. In the same period I created the Konamix, which I submitted to Sunrise. I was only later to find out that someone converted this song to .MID and spread it thoughout the entire internet (amazing to see the places where that file turns up)

In 1999 and 2000 I got more active on the internet I contributed a bit to the MCCW and started making plans to create my own website. I had some nice ideas in mind which still have not been implemented on the web, but probably next year we'll be able to incorporate those things in the MRC. At the same time, Sander van Nunen posted a message on msx.org, asking for people who wanted to help him rebuild the website. The ASP version of MSXorg was created back then. The rest is history. (Browse the news archive if you want to )

Apart from MSX, I'm still going to college (computer science) and I work part time in a record store in Groningen. When there's even some more spare time left I like to make music on MSX and on synth/piano/accordeon.

That's about it... for now...

Poor Snout... Moderating this website and all, and no single reaction to his 'who=who' story...

Me too I was born in 1979 as well and grew up in Groningen too. But I've lived in different parts of the world for the past six years (Leiden and Japan).
