| And remember, Spectrum video is faster than MSX1 or MSX2 video. We would need at least ADVRAM for that
|
Never know about this fact Can you explain it better, please? |

i haven´t yet downloaded those 3d demos...
LeandroCorreia, Vectrex´s "spike" was in my mind too!
But I meant same behind-player-perspective what Crash Bandicoot/Antarctic Adventure has.
And if someone thought I want filled vector-grafix, I don´t.
I just meant "simple" monochrome vectors just like in Elite.
Background could have just one line for horizon and just FEW lines to draw left and right edges, and boxes (incoming walls to avoid) which look just same as if you do LINE(100,100)-(160,130),9,B and holes (boxes again) and maybe very simple trees and rocks.
If horizon is not going to tilt left and right same as in afterburner, then we can easily make VERY COLOURFUL sky ( no vectors this time ) and little tilting still allows to have colourful sky.
Even I am not an machine code expert, I know that MSX is not too slow for that!

| Vector could also be used to create a (very) simple racing game...

Have you ever played Stunt Car Racer (by Microprose) ?
It was one of my first Amiga games and is said to be very good on spectrum too!
IT IS AWESOME RACING GAME!!! At least on Amiga you can really feel the speed! And you can FEEL it on your stomach just like in the real life when your car is falling downwards after big jump!

I would like to see a good soccer game, a soccer manager game (maybe there is not enough CPU for that) and a Prince of Persia conversion |

Another kind: Any filmation II game with more action and less "wander-around-512-screens". |

Interesting that no one talk about filmation II games I Miss knight lore! |

But Knight Lore is a Filmation I game. The only Filmation II games ever published for MSX were Gunfright, Nightshade and - not sure about this one - Bubbler. Of course, I would love to see BATMAN II as a sequel to the first John Ritman's game.

what are the most demanding MSX/2/2+/Turbo-R games released anyways? Those should give a decent indication of what's possible....
but 3D, it's fun, but the MSX is never going to get really good at it from a gameplay perspective
it'd just be impressive considering the hardware. I'd prefer something that's both impressive and playable. |

A shooter like Nemesis is quite demanding..
I figure Fantasm Soldier II with it's tile-based multilayers is kinda demanding as well..

I agree with Samor. However there are playable 3D games for the MSX: Elite, Red Zone and Return of Jelda.

However, Fantasm Soldier II is barely playable... Too slow and choppy... |
