Hmmm, scratch that... Just had a little look at it, and it does not look like something I'd want to attempt. I think I could code like 17 new games in the time I could write a Scumm engine for MSX. ^_^

There is a lot of great MSX2 RPG, adventure and strategy games, but they are in japanese only.

Honestly I do not like Heroes of the Lance, it was very disappointing, crappy slow and unplayble,
it is very far from the playbility of the game I have pointed to (Inty's AD&D was very easy go - a 8Krom game).

I agree: good graphics, but is badly coded,
It uses the z80 to do sw sprite animation on a back page and force YMMM commands to copy to the visible page, instead to do page swapping..... I've analyzed the source code, it can be optimized in speed of about 50% |

E.T.! More specific: the version were you get stuck in a hole and never, ever be able to get out. Even I can program that, ha,ha!
And how about Vampire Killer 2? Usas 2? Metal Gear 3? Aleste 3? Xak IV? Forces Beyond Empire?

...I think this is a very good puzzlegame. It would be great to see this game ported to MSX.
Maybe a MSX-2 game with nice screen 7 (or even 8??) background pictures & FM/PSG musix.
Or with a little bit simpler looks on MSX-1.
*This is a free hint for all you coders, to make another instant classic in msx gamehistory.
It' s a bummer that I know merely nothing about coding with MSX.
