Most of the Finnish old skool MSX'ers remember something when they hear name "Kukkohovi" This is mostly because Kukkohovi had advertisements in local computer magazines back in the golden MSX years.
This was a small company by Aaro Kukkohovi that produced some MSX hardware and made most of the Finnish MSX2 upgrades to SVI-738 computers. With some extra money you could also get RGB output DIN connector built in.
I was just wondering if anyone here remembers, what hardware Kukkohovi actually sold?
Somewhere in the garage there is at least an EPROM programmer, that was made by Kukkohovi. With the cartridge there was a 320KB CP/M disk containing Finnish EPROM programming software and a prited A4 with dip switch instructions.
I don't know if this is a prototype or a product that has been sold, but at least there has been made quite a many changes after making the print.
I also remember reading about a possibility to order MSX temperature meters and relay controll boards from Kukkohovi, but I might just remember wrong...
Anyone, who knows/remembers more?

Hello Nyyrikki
As far as I remember your memory works quite well.
Mostly sold cards where those tiny AD converter cards and also the EPROM card was popular.
I think I have to go through the carage this summer and see if there is some bits still laying around.

Oops! Aaro himself replied. By the way, I would be interested in buying that piece of hardware. Is it still available?

That sounds very good! I'm interested about anything MSX related you are able to find. If you still have some warm feelings towards MSX computers, I think you should come to show what you managed to find to our Finnish MSX party! ( msx.partys.at.endofinternet.org) Quote:

Not bad, or what you think? 20 years have passed and you still manage to get a potential customer in 10 minutes. |
