Hello, a few years ago I bought PA3 and now I want to play that game on my PC, using Blue MSX. I also made an Image of my saved Gamestats. Starting PA3 is not a problem, but as I wanted to load a saved game, PA3 asked for DISK 5. What the hell could I do now ? I bought PA3 legaly in Tilburg. I have also a Problem with Pixess. I want to make an image of this lovely Game, but it doesn't work. Can you help me please ?

User disk?

No, not User Disk. I checked all the 4 original and the User Disk, but the game asks for Disk 5. I think
it has something to do with the copy protection, cauz on my Turbo-R everything works fine.

It's part of the copy protection. When it's not detected the game will ask for disk 5 which doesn't exist. The saves are on the bootdisk. Of course you can put the saves on a totally seperate disk, but it's not part of the original package.

black hawk: you could try to send an e-mail to Sunrise. The user 'sunrise' around here is Rob Hiep, one of the main men behind the group -- check his e-mail address in his profile. He may be able to help you out on this. Concerning Pixess: I believe that many developers of that game still find their ways around here
Any way, good luck |

Correction: Rob Hiep's e-mail address isn't in his profile, but you can find it on the Sunrise website! |

Ok, thanks to all for helping me. I also tried to start a savestat from disk 1 but PA3 forced me to insert Disk 5. I will send a mail to Rob ... may be he could help me. I hope that Pixess will also work one day. Are the Compjoetanie Guys still selling this game ? If not, a free version to download here is a nice suggestion or not ? One again: Thanks to all !

That disk 5 issue really is the copy protection, not matter where you load your savegame from. Rob can help you with this problem. And about Pixess, even when Compjoetania doesn't sell it anymore it doesn't mean there should a free version to download. It would be great of course...

How did you figure Beef?
IIRC the copy protection will do a infinite loop when it detects a crummy copy. I've removed the crack years ago, can't remember exactly what it did but it sure did not pop-up the demand for disk 5. But hell, it might be the alcohol setting in right now
The game should, however, work fine on HD etc. Just make sure you got the bootflop in the diskdrive!
(on emulators however....) |

I intend to agree with Ro, I have seen it once playing around the gallery and wanted to save. But nothing happened. But I hadnot finished something namely asking something to the barkeeper , when I had done that it saved normally and the disk5 was never asked again. Maybe my bottle of drank as well? |

P.S. I hope you won't missunderstood me: I am not the meaning of games which are not sell even more are free stuff. I only wanted so say that I WISH one day Pixess comes without that copy protection to play it on an Emu. I bought BOTH games (and so much more) in original cases. Maybe, I think it was my f****** worse english that I explain it so complicated.
