Thanks, between 50-60% of the graphics and 50% of the coding, music 0%.
The intro is almost ready and I have done a part of the engine.

The maze shoot remembers me the RPG Bard's Tale saga , anyway your game seems to be an adventure, isn't it?. Looks really promising!
Btw, are you finally using Pascal or C to program the game?

Good to see that you thought out everything (story and gameplay) before doing the coding and gfx. This certainly will be something different than the default homebrew MSX game (genre-wise).

I think I stick to Pascal. I'm using the Kari libs. and I can find my way with those. If speed becomes a problem it may I switch to C.

I have written the prototype of the game engine with Flash actionscript. The syntax is almost C and easy to translate.

I will publish more pictures later.

I wanted Merins' World to become a simple game. Now it isn't ... I have so many ideas and puzzles I want to put in. So the focus is now on the drawings and coding. The website has lower priority.

I see, you use TPascal and Kari libs... How did you made 3D world?

It's not really 3D. Just a smart way of copying small image parts.
I don't think MSX is capable of 3D at higher resolutions. I have seen 3D projects in screen 3.
I use screen 5, then I have 3 pages for building images in the background.
The '3D' image in the game is kept small 128x105 pixels for speed.

I have updated the website. Some of the images are clickable now. Click and you wil see a larger version. I have not tested it with IE yet.

Not working with IE over here , but the small pictures look promising!
