As said in ru.wiki, only some tens of units was produced, production proceed just one year. So it's very unknown computer in Russia. I heard about Aleste first time in this year, when article in ru.wiki was published (note: my hobby is old computers history, especially russian stuff).

Btw, in Russia was series of school-oriented computers, made close to MSX standarts (developed as alternative for imported Yamaha MSX'es). It's PK80xx computers - PK8000 (Sura, Vesta, and possibly some other names) is home model, and PK8010/PK8020 (very different in schematic from PK8000) is school models. This computers almost incompatible with original MSX software, because they used 8080 cpu instead of Z80, and have many other differences (as well as similarities). But they almost compatible with MSX-Basic programs

And yes, I think the loader in the boot sector can be the problem, but I never saw nor used ALESTE computer in my life, so I am not sure about it.

Cool cax. What character encoding is it, russian? I didn't recognize it.

Btw, do you know any good text editors that can convert texts like this. I use Maruo but It didn't get it to convert this text.

Edit: Maruo actually did convert it nicely to cryllic letters and babelfish tanslates it to:

Why is MRC using ISO-8859-1 encoding? UTF-8 seems a much better idea.
Anyway, I set gvim to ISO-8859-1, pasted the text, set it to cyrillic and then I got the above text. Babelfish refuses to translate it, though
So, maybe it's just converted wrong.

@manuel: I compared your conversion with the one I got from Maruo and no characters are the same. Once a long time ago I actually was fluent in the cyrillic alfabet (I was learning serbocroatian) and your conversion doesn't look that familiar. Maybe cax or some other russian speaking person can tell what is different.
