Well, almost every party was happy yesterday. Even the LPF while loosing most of their votes.....



For a few moments, I thought we were going to have this CDA/VVD/ChristenUnie combination, but they just didn't get enough votes to have a majority...



So, erhm......Probably we'll get a CDA/PvdA government. Could be an interesting one. I do hope CDA will learn the PvdA how to deal with social economical health. Those PvdA proposals are imho very bad for the Dutch economy.



PvdA could learn CDA something on moral issues though. Such as Abortion, Euthanasia etc. etc.

On the one hand, you can say the voters have chosen and made PvdA big again.

But at the same time, you can say the voters have not moved away from the CDA and VVD ruling parties (even rewarded them!) clearly indicating they want the current government to continue (albeit with far less LPF influence, who got their buts kicked, but still got surprisingly high votes IMO).



If you look at the number of voters voting left-wing and the number of voters on the right-wing and take into account the difficulties with forming a government between a left and right wing party without a 'glue' party (like the D66 in 'Paars), I think the choice is really clear.



The majority still voted for the current government, not PvdA!

Well, I agree with the leftwing parties and even Balkenende himself stating it isn't credible if the CDA/VVD/LPF would continue....And I fear D66 won't cooperate. What other options do we have?

Everybody said that PvdA was the big winner .... Which is NOT true, they might won a lot of votes compared to the last election, but the mayority still wants CDA (which is good )

Ithink that if you would have a PvdA+CDA coalition, eventually it will NOT work out... Too many differences...



Glad the LPF didn't get that many votes like last election... Still too many IMHO...



And Ratelband luckily got no chairs Too bad he doesn't emigrate like he promised before
