2.6.1 is a small bug fix release that mainly fixes issues with the AVI rendering. Its not really a secret release, but we did the release without announcing it anywhere. Since it's a quite small release we took the opportunity to do a little experiment and see how long it would take before the news was spread to forums and websites. |

The way I see it: emulator site updates -> navarone using a program to automatically check for emulator site updates notices it and updates http://www.emulation9.com/ -> some emulator news websites copy their news from emulation9, other emulator news websites copy from them -> world sees news  |

if this becomes a challenge, I think I'll try Contra, and not just the first stage
But what would be really ace is if someone can speedrun through eggerland or kingsvalley 2 or something
...or snatcher, but that would still take long, because of the loading

emulation9 was indeed the first site to have the news. Less than 8 hours after it was released. Then the big emu sites followed within 24 hours or so.

Samor, when you upload the video clips to youtube, do you need to do anything with the clips, like some special compression or resizing?

dvik - btw, can you explain that text "private use only.... etc... ...prohibited."? Isn't it in conflict with the license? Or am I completely mistaken here?
