Nah, go for a Panasonic 2+, they're relatively easy to find, relatively cheap, and they won't give you any trouble in the US when it comes to voltage/NTSC. Don't forget to buy a memory-mapper tho!

Does this also mean you are going to stop at 2048?

Hey Yo!

In my opinion the TurboR is not a real MSX - it lacks a cassette port! I was offered one but turned it down!!!

Lol... That would be funny if it wasn't so sad! The turboR is by far the best MSX ever made. I can understand you'd turn it down because they're still quite expensive, but to turn it down because "it's not a real MSX" is just, well, odd... Don't buy any other Panasonic MSX2+ either though, because those "aren't real MSX computers either" as they also lack the casette port. That does narrow down your options a little, since you'd have to find a Sony or Sanyo 2+, which are a lot less common. Perhaps you should settle for a converted MSX2 then, since those are more common.

Panasonic A1WX also has a casport. But why on earth would one want such a thing... Get yourself an IDE interface!

I can't understand the "cas port" -thing either... I mean, really who gives a shit? Should we also have cassette port added to the one chip msx too? Just to make it part of the msx -family.
