Hi
I am looking for the games made by parallax / cas cremers
I can find Blade Lords here on MRC for download, but are others released for freeware? Or are they published on fdisk/picturedisk or other? Or still for sale?
These are the games:
-Vectron (1989)
-Arc (1990)
-Magnar (1992)
-Black Cyclon (1993)
(-Blade Lords (1994))
-Akin (1995)
Who can tell me more?

Parallax website
If it isn't for download there, then you can assume it's not freeware. Some of these games were distributed by Sunrise but it could be they're out of stock (I didn't see a thing from Parallax on their site).
So, choose!
(1) ask Cas on his website/email
(2) ask Sunrise
(3) ask @ trade & collecting |

the parallax website isn't updated since 2000, but as stated there: it is kept as a recource.
So I asked here because there might be someone with more recent information... 
And these games might be on some diskmagazine since then (1989), can anyone tell me that? or are there any listings/indexes from the different diskmagazines somewhere to check this? |

You should be able to get blade lords and akin from Sunrise. Vectron was released on a msx collection by eurosoft I believe. Arc has a cartridge with a protection on it. And I guess that's not in production any more. Don't believe it was distributed any other way. So that one you probably have to find on an auction. Magnar and Black Cyclon's rights might be with someone apart from Parallax as was the case when they were sold. Dunno who though.

Some (all?) of them were on the MCCM millennium cd's (at least Black Cyclon and Magnar were)... that does not make them freeware, but it might help when looking for them...

Dug into the basement: Now I have Magnar (MCCM), Black Cyclon (MCCM) and blade lords
But copied to disk Black Cyclon wants to know codes from the manual :-( which I cannot find on the MCCM cd....
nothing on parallax and mccm websites either...
Any hints?

I think vectron might be on MCCM's cd as well.
Isn't it on the super game box disc ?
I can be wrong on this one.

I was also looking a bit into parallax games again today...
Vectron's indeed where robertwilting says it is:
<mccm cd1>\SOFTWARE\COPYRGHT\MCCM\SUPGAMEB.DI1
According to Generation MSX, the game's declared freeware by Cas Cremers.... in that case, it could be added to MSX.ORG, right?
I DID find a demo of Arc somewhere on the net also...
As for Akin, Sunrise is selling it on Nijmegen 07 apparantly, so I might get that this saturday....

Anybody tried the ARC cartrdige in the (sunrise) USB MSX gamereader yet?
Ofcourse with blue or open, since it will not work if MSXPlayer tries to read the entire cartridge in one go...
