| I understand the fuzz but isn't he claiming that he found the image and wanted to 'port' it to TI-99?

I maybe missed that. If he says he didn't do the gfx I guess its not as bad but he writes about it as if he actually did it. I'm not supprised he picked Malaika though. Its really the best MSX1 gfx I've ever seen.
Still think we should ruin his name |

dvik : fortunaly, your Waves and MSX Unleashed demos are too complex for this guy |

I think that to avoid misunderstandings he only needs to clarify their intentions about those ripped GFX. It's obvious that he has reverse engineered the pics and even maybe he has found a new way to build the drawing; but that's not the problem, the real problem is all that chat about "new projects" (Parsec Invaders) that suposedly are those GFX part of and with the slightest mention to the original authors nor the system where they come from (MSX) .
It's just a matter of get its attetion in a polite way and ask about that matters... |

It should not be so difficult to get this result, as in some cases, he mentions the source (Coleco or Atari for example). Why does he not mention MSX ?????

The very interesting thing is that MAMALAIKA screen is a mix of sprites and graphic.
If the guy has reverse engineered the screen, maybe he has developed a general conversion tool able to do scr2 conversions and to correct the screen 2 color clash using sprites. This an old project of mine I abandoned due to the complexity of the needed algorithms.

I think it would be good to make a post on his mailing list but I guess its up to viejo_archivero to decide if its worth the effort. In a way I guess its fun to see that the gfx is popular and appreciated.

Nerlaska is also concerned by the "Parsec Invaders".

Well, gfx are appreciated and that's nice, but I don't really like people claiming my (or other's) graphics are from him. Everything will be different if he have given Karoshi credit. Aniway, I've joined that Yahoo Group but I must wait for the admin to accept my membership in order to post.

Btw, TI-99/4A could be another system to be supported by blueMSX !!!

Very good post. I hope he change his demo and give you proper credit. Its would be nice for the ti scene if his demo was made available again.

It will be easier for sure support other systems like the MTX5xx, Sord M5 or even the Tatung Einstein
The TI-99/4A is really a weird, weird machine, starting from its 16 bits processor without registers and its strange architecture! |
