This is going to be a very stupid question....

I really would like to play Quattro ( www.msx.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=visit&lid=180 ) once again, to see if it's really as difficult as people said. However, I'm unable to find the original disk(s) which I used to write the program. I downloaded the file from msx.org, but it stops with an error "bad file mode in 321", and I have totally no clue anymore how to solve it. I cannot even get the listing correct. Those stupid pokes to make the listing unreadable are hunting me now...

If anyone has any idea how to get this program to work (and would like to share that knowledge),or has a working copy, he or she can count on my everlasting thanks...

Perhaps good to know: I'm using bluemsx until my MSX comes out of storage, so that's where the error occurs...

Just tried it with openMSX 0.6.1 and it works just fine... Maybe you did something wrong with the files?

Not that I'm aware of. I have no problems opening other.dsk files or directories. I have this problem always, with every download I did. I'll try OpenMSX, though. See if that helps...

Heh, I tried again, but now with a Music Module inserted. It gives an error then:
File not open in 309

It seems to have problems with a Music Module... Try without!

I just tested on a real MSX, and there it works with a Music Module. I'll file a bug against openMSX for this. Thanks for pointing me to this!

OK, done, for trackback: here it is.

Note to MRC folks: it's a pity that the Quattro in MRC download database is a cracked and trained one...

Almost same with BlueMSX: with Music Module inserted, it gives a "bad file mode in 321", without Music Module, it runs fine.

BTW, Manuel, your trackback doesn't work. Here is the correct link. I've also posted a bugreport on BlueMSX

If I find the original disks (also in storage, somewhere, I hope), I'll upload them to MRC. And that one certainly is not cracked, nor trained.

Ah, darn, there is a quote at the end of my URL. Can some MRC admin fix it, please?

Cool if you upload the original disk!
