Hey people, please leave sunrise be. He is doing a fantastic service to remaining MSX fans that still use real hardware, and the prices are very affordable. I would never consider myself doing something like this: too much work, virtually no profit. The man is doing for the love of MSX. If you'll keep on complaining, he just might shutdown the whole msx.ch site, and all you'll have to do is keep on bitching on "why did he close it?” Something like this just happened in Russian ZX Spectrum scene. The guy who was still producing brand new TURBO 2+ motherboards @ 100$ quit it, because some lonely idiotic attention whores where complaining just about everything that he did. Now everyone is like "OMG, please come back! We love you!", but it's a bit late. Decent reasonable community members had to STFU all the idiots before they annoyed the hell out of CHRV.

So be grateful to sunrise and try to make him happy and content! That is, if you got a bit of intelligence.

I agree that a 'complaining culture' in the MSX community is a bad thing, that can cause (and has caused) active developers/distributors/publishers to lower or even completely stop their activities. The patience and motivation of the MRC crew has been put to the test many times as well.

However, I think that in this case the intentions were not to 'mindlessly bitch and moan', but to help/motivate Sunrise in making their customer-experience a bit more user-friendly. Although the choise of words/tone could have been better, the result is an improved profile. I for one am looking forward to the new Sunrise website; I heard from Rob it's going to be quite an improvement!

This is making it now off topic. The real state was to re-establish contact between me and de complainer.
At the moment this is reached and the topic should be ended.
Now the topic changed into what happened to the sunrise site.
We have again a new subject ...

sunrise, with all due respect, but I did not intend any of my messages to be negative. Contrary, I'm trying to be optimistic and supportive. I think you are reading something in my words that isn't (intended to be) there. All I was trying to do was help to create some understanding.

Although you might have read it differently, I have only seen people trying to be helpful in this thread, suggesting that on a new site things like automated e-mails after an order might help in making Sunrise function even better than it does today. Whether or not you do something with this good intended advise is entirely up to you, but it certainly isn't meant negatively. People care for Sunrise and your activities.

The topic did indeed start with a single customer experience and - I suppose because it occurred a few (and only a few!) times before - based on that two things were accomplished

a) contact with the customer was regained and the matter was settled
b) people tried to offer suggestions on how to prevent similar situations to happen again

discussions evolve like this on our forum all the time, it's the way the web works. I don't see a reason to lock the topic -- like any other topic it will move down in our archive as soon as nobody has anything to say about the topic anymore.

I see it as more talking than helping. I am helped out more with the fact that people create things instead of talking.
Sure there are people care about activities from our side and not from my side.
A new website is only a goal to get some rest

Sunrise: in a forum, the way people can help you is with words. That's exactly what they are doing right now. If you need a proper helping hand, I'm quite confident that all you have to do is ask around.

I can't imagine msx world without sunrise.

There would not be a place to buy hardware for our beloved msx.Next month's salary has to be spent there. Right now i spend a large amount of money for Konami roms and megaroms in ebay.But next i want a sunrise ide cf adapter and of course Manbow 2.

I think that sunrise is doing an excellent job and we should all support him with encouraging words from forums,and of course by buying his excellent products.
