Is their an overview of available MSXDOS2 and COMMAND2.COM versions? Is MSXDOS 2.31 the lastest version and is it available only for Turbo-R? And what about command2.com? The link below is of 2.41. Is that the lastest version? Last question, which versions are used most often by harddisk users?

2.31 is the latest original/official version.
higher versions are "home-brew" improvements

MSX-DOS 2.31 is indeed the latest official version (shipped with the Panasonic FS-A1GT MSX turbo R).

AFAIK, 2.31 is just an MSX-DOS2 version tailored to the turboR. Nothing spcial, no extra's compared to 2.20...
But then again, I could be wrong  |

Thanks for the info Aurora. We have managed to get 2.31 working in the Nowind interface. Without the Turbo-R specify code (which switches between cpu's). I'm not completly sure, but it seems 2.31 can boot from different drives.

iirc 2.31 has some extra stuff which you can use in batch files. Btw don't use msxdos2.sys ver 2.31. It uses more TPA.

That's good to consider. We plan on providing patches for different versions of MSXDOS. People can then decide for themselfs.
