I searched for command line tool, which allow me to create .dsk image with some files (for automatic project compilation with crossasm), and found nothing: DskExplorer does not have CLI, and on my computer it have some problems (switch directories very slow); dsktool crashes with some error about memory (I work under WinXP). As dsktool contains source code in distributive, I decided to port it for windows, and did it. Maybe, it can be useful for somebody else.

Archive contains original files from distributive, but with new dsktool.c, dsp/dsw files for VC6 (which I used to compile it), and compiled dsktool.exe, of course. I tested only 'add' function, it works fine. I think, other functions will work too.

I have my own version of dsktool, working in Win/Linux/Mac with PPC (original source works only fine with Little Endian cpus).

If you want I can send my sources to add compatibility in your new version with this others OS and CPUs.

Thanks, Ramones, but I not planned to make and support any 'new version', I just searched for fast solution of my current task, and found it. If my goal was make new version, I'd better write my own tool from scratch (I already wrote tools this type some time ago), than fix source code, written by somebody about ten years ago.

I think, you must publish your version, so people can use it, if needed.

There's also dodsk (source code on BerliOS), msxtar (sourcecode in openMSX tree) and rddsk/wrdsk (sourcecode on fMSX page, I think).
