День добрый. Расскажите уже все забывшему мне, как определить объем памяти.
Купил я YIS805 и, естественно, попробовал Metal Gear запустить. Но ждал меня облом, как и со всеми остальными играми. Порывшись я обнаружил, что testram и loadrom сообщают о наличии всего 64 Кб в слоте 3,2. Из бэйсика тоже самое -- я перебираю страницы, и их всего 4. Тем не менее, на заставке написано 128 Кб. Есть ли тут какой-то подвох, или просто память битая?

I don't speak russian, so I'll try to answer more international way:

128KB = VRAM = VIDEO, VDP
64KB = RAM = CPU

128KB + 64KB + mgear.rom = :-(
128KB + 64KB + Metall Gear CARTRIDGE ( [__] ) = :-)

The YIS-805/128 has an 128kB memory mapper, though.

There is no such thing as "available MSX cartridges" in ex-USSR, as they never were sold anywhere on that territory.

SFMSX provided info how to easily upgrade stock YIS-805/128 to 256K RAM. The places for 4 x 4464 chips and corresponding capacitors is already on PCB. All you have to do is change position of J305 jumper on PCB (some soldering required). I may try it at some point.

There were actually two jumpers. I don't remember ids of the jumpers by heart, but one of these was J305 probably, yes ... some of these days I have to re-check it from inside of my MSX.
