The reason for that is that a lot of Metal Gear collectors live in the USA and UK.
So this way more people will notice it.
They just don't check Ebay Netherlands.

290 euro is not very expensive.
I have seen this game go over 350 and even 400 euro's lots of times.
(once over 500 but that was really insane  )
At the moment there is another one from Japan on Ebay with the same price.
And for those who think 290 euro is too pricy:
there is always the Best Offer option to offer a lower price.
