Actually, coders involved in Woomb translations are really good MSX programmers (at least I think I read who they were somewhere) so I don't think they will do such thing. But yes, it could be done in that way, but it wouldn't be wise.
Anyway, good job from these Woomb dudes, because lack of time I did not buy these translations yet, but surely I will do it pretty soon. These translated manuals that Rieks showed me in Bussum two years ago definitely rock!! |

Yes, they're really awesome. Even little things that applied at the time of the original release (such as club memberships) are left in and explained. |

Luckily enough, you can reverse-engineer anything as long as you don't make a profit / share the results. I can buy a game at Woomb, decrypt it and run it in my MSX. It is not illegal because no-one would be aware of this fact.

I bought this game and i have several real MSX ...I dont understand why i cant use my game in my Turbo-R that i payed a lot of money!!! I dont buy woob games anymore 'couse i dont think it is correct to sell an encrypted game that run only in a tiny window on my 32" lcd monitor....
Msx games are good games but play it in a 32" lcd at 1920x1080 resolution made them unplayable...
I am really disappointed and althought woob made a good conversion work they will dont sell many games 'couse emulation is for lazy guys...I like to use real hardware to play my retrogames and i think many msx fans like too...

I thought it was/is a well known fact that they don't work on a real msx. The reasons why have been mentioned several times on this site as well.
By the way, the emulator has a full screen mode, so you don't have to play it in a tiny window.
