Since MSX is a Japan-based system, lots of anime-style games were released for it. Many MSX users in the Netherlands like anime movies as well... I'm not really one of them but ehm.. feel free to discuss about anime right here |

...uhh... Gundam Wing will be on TV again in 1.5 hours, and it rocks ^_^.
And ahm... oh, yeah, I tried most of the Anime-related games on Funet recently, it was cool to see pictures of my favorite anime series (like Kimagure Orange Road, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma, etc) on my MSX. Most of them were in the common erm 'adventure' style like most anime games nowadays still are. Graphics, dialogues, and menu's with choices. Like Snatcher. There were a few exceptions (Lodoss, and I believe Gundam), but those weren't really to write home about. Really the greatest anime-related games are the wellknown ones, Ys, Xak, SD-Snatcher, and Dragonslayer VI.
Oh, and I've got the Ys Book One anime DVD, imported from the US. Part 2 (of 3, I think) will be released March 25th. I'll place an order for at least me and someone else, and if you want and live in the Netherlands I can place one for you aswell, to save some shipping costs.

Well, I would guess you'd know that shipping costs for inside the netherlands are a lot lower than international ones ^_^. Or I could for example hand it over at the Tilburg fair in person. It could save you say, 4 to 8 euros or so. Anyways if you want to order by yourself, go ahead! Save me the trouble! ^_^ I'm just saying that I'm ordering anyways, so there's very little shipping cost overhead for me to order one more.

I recently look at "chihiro" and the day after I thoughh everything in that movie could be translated into a game.
The main story is not bad, an alternate fantasy world where you can drop close to the real world , where you can loose memory if you dont remind thing. But it was a bit for child anyway...
My favorite anime movie is far "Jin - roh" (really nice music) then of course "ghost in the shell".

Actually, the only anime I ever saw was Princess Mononoke (thanks for the tip, Grauw). I thought that one was OK, but not exceptionally well. But then again, if you have hints or must-sees... I might have a look at one again sooner or later.

Ah, you mean Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi). Yes, I watched that movie with a number of people of our 'anime society' on the university about a month ago (I've got it on DVD ;p). It was indeed ofcourse a children's movie, more so than Mononoke Hime however less than Kiki's Delivery Service, but still it was again an amazing example of how good an animation director Miyazaki is. I and the others were really impressed.

Er, well, about 20. But since the meetings aren't really regular yet there are only about 6-10 people every time. Working on that ^_^.
