I read an interesting article about The Brazilian Group for Computer Music Research. The article mentions two guys from Porto Alegre, Lopes Filho and Miranda, and they were using a home built clone of the SFG-05. Has anyone heard about this device and the one that created it?

The only midi interface I am aware of being produced in Porto Alegre is the DMC-100, sold by Digimer (now digimer is a PC store). It is already listed at the ultimate MSX faq, but I don't know if it was a clone of SFG-05.

It sounds like the writer knows what he's writing about but maybe he mistaken it for the DMC-100 or just wanted to point out that it was a locally made MIDI interface instead of the Yamaha one. It sounds like the article is relatively new so maybe he remembers something.
