Hi, I only collect japanese games, so I've started buying jap MSX games like contra, snatcher SD, etc...
Then I discovered the 1chip MSX, I liked it a lot and I've bought one japanese unit. My question is: there is any difference between the euro or the jap version? how can I play FD disk games in a 1slot MSX?
And how can I connect the keyboard? I've read somewhere the USB ports are not already configured.
Thanks!

The JP version uses materials not allowed in the EU since recently, also there's a different adapter iirc (don't hold me on that!).

Perhaps you can spot more info on : Bazix.

Yeah! The Japanese 1CM's case is made of the purest crack. It cannot be imported into the European Union, because kids would smoke it. Damn! I've just said "smoke", that's f**** unpolite!

OOT: Abbreviating Japanese as "Jap" is, so says the dictionary, disparaging and offensive.

Not really. Only some components (Pb free, due to RoHS compliance) and the power adaptor (but mine works with 100v-220v)

Using an external disk drive, or some kind of massive storage device (i.e.: MegaSCSI, CF-IDE...)
BTW, it has two slots.

You can connect a PS2 keyboard.

Jap version is available... Euro version is not... Euro version will have more up to date "firmware" when it comes out.

If you don't have external disk drive you need to copy the disks to SD or MMC card first. (Read: You'll need a PC to do that)

You are going to need PS/2 keyboard.

I forgot about this! ^^!
Of course, as NYYRIKKI says, you can use SD/MMC cards as disk drive and run .DSK files

Bazix is in charge of its distribution outside Japan. Contact them.

You're in Norway, right? Then the RoHS applies to you to:

"The ‘market’ refers to the European single market. However, as EU Directives apply to the European Economic Area (EEA), Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway also fall within its scope."
