Hey,
Can i connect the HXMU-901 Keyboard (just have it) on to a Philips music module ? The connector look the same ... Anyone ?

I have mine connected to a Yamaha module, so it's sort-off universal. But I can't vouch for the Philips.

I believe the toshiba keyboard is universal (yamaha, msx-audio, toshiba), but Philips didn't use that standard and implemented its' own (to prevent people from buying cheaper keyboards).

Oh.. ok .. i hope i can modify this one. But on the other hand maby i must buy the orginal module for it.. hopefully i can find it some where.

Hey, i whas not able to find any documentation. The MSXFac say's it's not posible.... Someone know where i can found this hardware tweak ?

AFAIK it's not just a simple tweak but more of a matter of rewiring the thing. IIRC you really need to change some pins/lines on the thing, and afterwars it will no longer be compatible with the other MSX-AUDIO thingies. Try to search for the tech-manuals of the two keyboards (iirc hanso has 'em on his site) and see what you need to change. I also think one of the keyboards had more keys than the other, don't remember which tho... |
