| Amen. I totally agree. Use the power and limitations of our beloved MSX system. I am really interested in a remake of Starquake. Imagine this. MSX2(+), multi layer scrolling, "Contra-like" graphics, FM music, published on cartridge...
Sorry, I need a tissue now

starquake is a msx game, it look so similar on msx to zx spectrum but use hw sprites.
starquake is also more similar on c64 |

| This may seem off topic but Ι found in the world of spectrum website a program that is supposed to be an zx spectrum emulator for msx.Unfortunately it only emulates basic programs and not machine code but....
|
Where can i find that "emulator"?
I am searching in the World of Spectrum web but i cannot find it.
The idea of doing an emu for MSX is not such a crazy thing, but a difficult one (I did one long time ago, by the way). Problem is speed, as some said, as MSX has to dump 12k OUTing... and (almost) ZX games do OUT to ports ... but i think with some patching here and there it could be done (maybe Turbo R to get decent speed) |

Bounder! Would have looked much better (and be more attractive) if it were in full colour! |

Of course, Manuel!
those game could be done with HW sprites and the tiles could be better coloured because of squared shape,
this game could also be done on msx2 because of vertical scrolling.... even in sc8
