Hi there,
Having the japanese version, i would defenitly want to play the english translated rom.
Searched for some time for it but it seems i can't succesfully download it.
Can anyone help me out here or post me a link to a decent download?

check e-bay, once a while the European version of metal gear pops up. It's worth the money...... I'm affraid that we cannot provide you with a download link since metal gear is still under konami's copyright.

Perhaps Vampier misread the title of this post, because there is no european version of MG:SS, only of Metal Gear (1)

Thanks for the link!
But i'm not that good in converting roms (if it needs converting) for emulators if it gets tricky.
What i did is added the patch to the zipfile where the solid snake file is.
But i don't know how to get them work together as it is still in japanese.
Played with the region settings on the emulator to but still no succes.
propably easy for some of you and i bet i would say the same once i get it to run in english.
Any help?
