This is really strange, my MSX emulator is called BluMSX, a LOT of games work on there fine but when I load Metal Gear(J)[KONAMI], it loads the MSX title screen and then constantly reloads the same screen. Any help?

I've tried other emulators and they do the same thing. Is this game unplayable?

i suspect it is the game's protection scheme.Metal gear japanese rom had a check to see wether it was loaded on an european or japanese msx,a kind of regional protection.You can change to a japanese msx in the configuration of the bluemsx or just use the european rom file of metal gear.That would fix all of your problems!
