Hello again folks,

I started to map the game Bastard. Did anybody play it for a while and remember some parts of the game. As previously said - I think wolf - there are some parts of the game other than the ones with the grey floor. I have already got shots of more than 60 rooms and still grey.

But this is not bothering me. What bothers me is that some times I take a different path, it seems that the game is changing the rooms (?!?!) or it has some rooms that are skipped.

Well, It can be also due to a problem that I had just awaken. I will try it later, but if somebody has some more information about the game or maybe the instruction manual, I would like to receive it.

While you are playing, make sure you save enough states, as I also wish to hear all the tunes in the game. Sofar I only know the short title track, the mud stuff where you buy weapons, and the in-game music. Btw, whenever I start playing I usually keep returning to the very first room to kick those bad guys until I have enough money to buy the biggest weapon (long sword iirc). Takes a while, but wasting money on smaller stuff is a waste of time.

The map is linear, AFAIK, I had no such problems when I tried to map the game over 12 years ago.

Nice to here this manuel. Maybe I have to take some rest before start again. Man, I had already done 60 screens and then I finally realized there were some errors. I will have to erase them all. It is better than try to fix it.

The screens look very similar indeed, I also made mistakes and got confused a few times, I remember.

I think it has a limited set of screens in mem, and then each map-room has a pointer to one such screens. This could mean that those mazes can be truly big, be it sometimes monotone and looking familiar. But well, you gotta cut on something somewhere..

Now the truth, already 80 screens and the maze is far away from being completed.

manuel, do you remember by any chance the length of this maze???

Maybe the time extension will increase a little bit wolf!!

I didn't complete the map by far, but it was quite huge, indeed That's why I found it interesting to get mapped.

You might even want to make a version with the proper route in it

Heh, I might do a game with endless mazes -- just like Elite and it's planets -- just to drive only_69 crazy trying to map them
