Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum and need some help.
Recently I acquired an old MK Plublic Domain SCSI controller that are tested and functional in many japanase, korean and some european MSX models.
But on my brazilian Gradiente Expert with upgrades (MSX2+ kit and internal 256KB memory mapper), the controller don't run. At the startup screen, the message is "selftest failure".
I'm thinking this is a incompatibility with the mapper controller and I think a ROM upgrade of the SCSI controller maybe resolve the problem.
My SCSI controller identify yourself with 1.1 version (with DOS 2.20) and on The Ultimate MSX FAQ says the lattest version is 2.36.
Someone have a ROM dump more recently than 1.1?
Many thanks.

Hi Jipe,
No. I don't have MSX-DOS2 on cartridge except on the SCSI controller.

There's no DOS2 on the MK SCSI Controller. This is the prequel to the B.E.R.T, unfortunately I have no experience with it (other than that it's quite slow compared to the other ones...)

Sorry but I don't understand. That is my first experience with DOS2.
In other MSX machines like VG-8235, I just put only the SCSI controller, then boot on MSX-DOS2.
I know the MSXDOS2.SYS and COMMAND.COM is in hard disk, but the BIOS for the DOS2 is in ROM that I think is on cartridge/interface.
Without the SCSI controller, in VG-8235 with only the internal disk-drive / controller, the boot occurs only with DOS1 that BIOS is in internal DISK-ROM.
I'm wrong?
