The MSX is once again mentioned in Gametrailers.com's Final Fantasy Retrospective. The MSX platform was already shortly mentioned in the first episode (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22250.html) if I recall correctly. Now in the newly released episode XII (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/27088.html) the MSX is mentioned right from the get-go. Even if it is only for a few seconds and loose remarks it's nice to have our platform mentioned.
I'd recommend the entire retrospective to anyone who even likes Final Fantasy a little bit. It's quite well put together and if not informative then at least quite entertaining.

Isn't this port done my mircocabin? I can see the japanese characters in the title screen, which also can be seen on all microcabin releases

Yes, when you cross the first bridge appears a Microcabin intro.

It says published by microcabin on generation msx. Dind't they just port it. The sound is very very microcabin like

I can't afford NOT playing any MSX-microcabin game, they are just too darn brilliant.
(still waiting on the TOC transl since I really couldn't make cheese of that one)

Yeah, or a later remake with better translation, like seen in one of the trailers.
However, the game is more than enough fun with the blunt, plain English texts from the NES version!
