Hi all,
this is the first message I post on msx.org forums. I grew up with a Toshiba HX-10 buyed in 1984. I programmed it mainly in basic but I have programmed some Z80 board too. Since 1990 I've written nothing more for msx. I love to code free software. You can find some project of mine here:
mynos.sf.net
gav.sf.net
I'd like to re-start programming z80 and msx and I'd like to use my linux machine as a cross-develop machine.
Can you give me some hints to start? I need a good cross-assembler, I found this one:
artax.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~brain/z80-asm/
is it a good tool?
Some other hint?
I use fMSX too.
Thank you very much in advance

I have been using our (Aurora) own C cross-compiler (based on Adriano's work) "htc" to compile C programs for Z80 using Linux (and gcc). This compiler also has an assembler of course, maybe you can use it directly. htc can be downloaded from the UZIX web site: http://uzix.sf.net, check the Downloads section. |

Or you can visit the #msxdev IRC channel for any programming questions. It's on the Rizon network and there's a webchat in the development section of MSX Banzai!. |
